Nick at Nite Causes "Nitemares"
Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 09:27AM This isn't your father's Nick at Nite!
"Nick at Nite is one of the most recognized and respected names in family programming and we're very excited that Glenn Martin DDS will be a part of the upcoming summer lineup," said Michael Eisner, The Tornante Company."
Children that see this imgery could have a bad time at their next dental visit
That was Then...This is Now.
Parents will have a very different take on thislnsensitive and egregiously violent and frightening visit to the dentist.
The Nick at nite Television Show,Glenn Martin DDS is a child's nightmare of a violently abusive dental visit. Glenn Martin DDS is every dental phobic's memory of why they fear dentistry so much. Impressionable children will suffer from the dental care they WILL NOT RECEIVE as a direct result of the terror invoked by this twisted image of dental treatment.

UNFORTUNATELY, MICHAEL EISNER
HAS RECREATED A DISTASTEFUL AND DISMAL RE-RUN REMINISCENT OF
W.C. FIELDS' "THE DENTIST"
W.C. Fields' Brand of Dental Pornography
THIS SMMMER NICK AT NITE WILL RUN
A TV SHOW THAT WILL FRIGHTEN CHILDREN AND COULD CAUSE THEM TO HAVE A MORE DIFFICULT VISIT TO THE DENTIST
:GLENN MARTIN DDS
Gratuitiously frightening children is a form of child abuse.
You want your child to have an easier time accepting treatment at the medical or dental office.
The violent and scary imagery used in the Glenn Martin DDS Nick at Night feature could have a very bad effect on a child's relationship with the doctor.
Child covers mouth for protection
Dentist Deceives Child to get into mouth
Kicking and Fighting
Child sees opportunity to bite the Dentist
Dentist looks at bleeding stump of finger
Search for finger
Search for finger goes too far.
For many children, a trip to the physician or dentist is a stressful experience. The sensory environment (i.e., the sounds, smells, and lights associated with the clinical setting) can cause a child's anxiety levels to rise. This is especially true in children who may have difficulty understanding the unfamiliar clinical environment.
These Nick at Night Scenes could make impressionable kids afraid of the dentist's office before they have even had the chance to see one.
Unfortunately, These preview scenes are still available at the Nick at Nite site under the link marked "CLIPS": "http:/meetglennmartin.com"
THIS IS A GRAVE DISSERVICE TO CHILDREN
AND AN EXAMPLE OF DENTIST-HATE-SPEECH.
And in the parallel universe that exists separate from Nick at Nite cartoons, there are at least three REAL LIFE Glenn Martin DDS's pursuing un-animated existances in:
- Sun City, California
- Charleston, SC
- Anchorage, AK
