Teresa K. (Grooms) Daugherty
Teresa K. (Grooms) Daugherty, age 57, of Jamestown passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Xenia, Ohio. She was born in Morgantown, Ohio, on October 14, 1952, the daughter of Rodney and Francis (Penn) Grooms.
She was preceded in death by her father Rodney Grooms. Teresa is survived by her husband: Steven L. Daugherty; daughter and son in-law Jami and Jess Sears; sister: Rhonda Zahra; brothers: David Grooms and Brad Grooms (Angie); grandchildren: Zane and Zoe Sears; niece and nephew: Josh and Chelsi Bingamon; mother in-law: Gladys Wheeler; and a sister in-law: Kathi Bingamon (Danny).
Teresa is also survived many close friends and relatives. She worked at Yellow Springs Dental Care (Dr. John Thomas Russell) for 30 plus years. Teresa had a great love for animals and people. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday January 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. till time of service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donation be made in Teresa’s name to your local humane society.

Teresa was a very spiritual person and, over the years we worked together on numerous occasions, she channeled her gift on our behalf to enable us to pursue our call to healing. This last month we have continued to be showered with manifestations that assure us with the solace and comfort that we remain under her protection.
