Few wine drinkers will be either encouraged nor dissuaded by data accumulated in scientific journals, but...

Red wine, when drunk in moderation, already thought to have a protective effect against heart disease and some forms of cancer, has also been shown to have benefits for teeth and gums.

Scientists have found that Red Wine contains chemicals that stop harmful bacteria from sticking to teeth.

The Red wine contain high amounts of Polyphenols, which allow the good bacteria in the mouth thrive, while disabling the bad bacterial ability to stick to the teeth, causing cavities

However the benefits are clouded by staining that accompanies imbibing.

The whiteness of teeth can be adversely affected by red wine. Tooth discoloration is caused by colored molecules such as tannins and those same polyphenols when they become absorbed by the tooth enamel's surface.

But the dental benefits for wine-lovers who claim it is fine to enjoy a glass in moderation are augmented by for Red Wine’s numerously reported general health benefits.

  • · Anti-inflammatory action
  • · Reduced stroke risk
  • · Reduced cholesterol
  • · Protects from colds
  • · Anti-tumor effect
  • Longevity Promotion
