How to Find the Right Dentist for You
About Us
Imagine the Possibilities
Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 08:35PM A survey was done a number of years ago asking, "Which of the Healing Arts caused patients to be most nervous?"
The results of the survey might be different today, but Psychiatry was #1 and Second Place was shared by Gynecology and Dentistry.
All three specialties involve organs of communication of feelings and affection. -- All, highly charged emotional activities that cause more apprehension than a little toe or an elbow.
The good news is that modern techniques and materials make it easier to receive dental care than ever before. And anxieties can ease with understanding support.
People tell me that they really like that I care for only one patient at a time. Our whole team is focused on efficient care and undivided attention -- and sedation feels like “you’re sending your mouth to Arizona”.
Patients no longer need feel bad about dental problems.
They wouldn’t feel guilty about having the measles.
But they often will beat up on themselves for dental problems.
For others, it’s embarrassment about appearance—People appear unapproachably stern because they’re reluctant to show their teeth.-or cover them with their hand.
We hear these concerns every day—you’re not alone.
And we fix up the teeth and appearance of people like this every day.
But nothing is started until our patients understand and have approved what can be done
My family and our staff accept my dedication to continuing education in dentistry, and the time I devote to being current with the latest and safest technology.
I’m a dental nerd, but I’m their dental nerd.
And you don’t want a dentist with the attitude that Close Enough is OK---You want a dentist who’s a little bit compulsive about details.
The relief will come when you know what you need to have a healthy mouth.
The relief comes from the knowing and no longer having to dread the unknown.
Sometimes you get a new prescription for your glasses. When you first put them on you go WOW! Now I can see what I have been missing.
And it’s the same with your Smile. Seeing the possibilities can bring the realization---that Now is the Time.
Friends often cannot put their finger on what dental care our patients have received: “Have you had some ”work” done around your eyes?
“Has your skin been lasered?”
“Have you had a facelift?”
People are aware that you look better but they cannot identify what it is.
And of course part of the secret sauce is that our patients start using their smiles in a more confident and easy manner.
The Change is in their Confidence of Being in the World--not just the way they look.
