Tooth Decay is an STD

Valentine's Day Warning--Tooth Decay is a sexually transmitted disease.

Of course, kissing is NOT the ONLY way tooth decay is transmitted -- it’s probably only the most enjoyable way to transmit decay-causing bacteria from one mouth to another. 

You can also spread tooth decay to others by drinking from the same glass or straw, eating the same sandwich, using the same silverware, playing the same musical wind instrument, etc., etc.

The bacteria that cause dental problems will also jump from tooth to tooth in your own mouth when you don’t have timely repairs of tooth cavities. One hole can spread bacteria to cause multiple new holes in other teeth given enough time and avoidance of dental visits.
