Smile Protective Factors (SPF's)

There are a lot of smart and easy adjustments people can make in their lives that will reduce or eliminate tooth decay.

I call these valuable bits of info "Smile Protective Factors".

We will be posting an on-going collection of these "SPF" tips.

When you  Get Wise to thses "SPFs" (Smile Protective Factors), you can look forward to less time in the Dental Chair for you and your family.

Kissing can be hazardous to your dental health.SPF's-you can never be TOO Safe.

SPF#1-

Tooth cavities spread from one tooth to another in your own mouth.

And Cavities spread from one famaily member to another also!

If you have no dental decay...you can't spread it.

But, if you have cavities it's not nice to spread them to others.

  1. Don't share forks, spoons, or drinking glasses until all of your cavities have been treated by your dentist.
  2. Don't kiss anyone until you have your cavities fixed
  3. don't share toothbrushes.
  4. Tell anyone you may have shared your tooth decay germs with that they should have their teeth checked for cavities.

Dont Share Utensils with Someone who has cavities.

No one will know for months or years that they have "caught your cavities.

You will be doing a loving thing to let them know that getting intimate with you could end up at the Dentist.
